The Medalist emits invisible, eye safe, infrared energy pulses. The microprocessor provides instantaneous and accurate readings every time. The highly sophisticated digital technology instantaneously calculates the distance to your target by measuring the time it takes for each pulse to travel from the rangefinder, to the target and back.
Simple to Operate!
While looking through the eyepiece, depress the power button to activate the LCD display. Place the aiming circle, which is located in the center of the viewer, on a target at least 5 yards away. Depress and hold the power button until the range reading is displayed near the bottom of the display. After the range has been acquired, you can release the power button. It is that simple.
Targeting Modes
- PinSeeker - this mode allows easy acquisition of the flag without inadvertently capturing background target distances. When more than one object is acquired, the closer of the two objects is shown on the LCD display. This technology does not require the pins to have reflective tags so it can be used on any course.
- Scan - The Scan mode allows you to pan across the landscape while viewing a continuously updated LCD display of the distances between you and the targets you scan with the viewfinder.
- Slope - Measures slope, plus or minus one degree of angle, and compensated range, based upon ball trajectory and type of club used. All this is shown on the LCD display.
